Taha Ariffin Stadium

Kuching, Malaysia

Formerly: Stadium Negeri Sarawak, Stadium Negeri

This was the name it kept for over forty years, until May 2026, when the Sarawak Sports Corporation renamed it in honour of Datuk Mohamad Taha Ariffin, one of the founders of the Football Association of Sarawak.

Taha Ariffin Stadium sits in the Petra Jaya district of Kuching, set within the wider sports complex. The ground opened in 1983, though the full build was not completed until 1991. It is the home of Kuching City F.C., who have played there since 2015. The capacity is listed as 30,000, though only 28,000 seats are fixed.

It is a venue that hosts more than just football. The ground staged the 3rd Malaysia Games in 1990 and returned for the 18th edition in 2016. It has seen larger crowds for league matches, including a 1–1 draw against Johor Darul Ta'zim in March 2014, and has also hosted music events like the Borneo Sonic Music Festival.
