Formerly: Städtisches Stadion Taipeh
The Taipei Municipal Stadium stands on Tun Hwa North Road in the Songshan District. It occupies the site of the original 1956 venue, which was demolished to construct the current facility for the 2009 Summer Deaflympics. The new stadium opened in July 2009.
It serves as a home venue for the Chinese Taipei national football team. The track and field complex features a 400-metre synthetic surface and a natural grass pitch. The venue also hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2017 Summer Universiade. A match against Malaysia drew 15,335 spectators in July 2011. It has a seating capacity of 20,000.
