Villa Olímpica de Desamparados

The ground sits in a quiet pocket of Desamparados , tucked away in the Dos Cercas sector. The original surface was natural grass, but the pitch today is synthetic turf, laid down in September 2018 to replace a worn-out layer from the previous renovation.

The stands are a stark reminder of the facility's revival. After years of abandonment, the complex reopened following major works completed in 2008. The capacity is often cited as 5,500. It does not matter much; the space feels small, enclosed by the surrounding residential blocks and the dense tree line that marks the edge of the canton.

The stadium bears the name of Jorge "Cuty" Monge . The official dedication was handled by José María Figueres , but the day-to-day management rests with the Instituto Nacional de Deportes, Educación Física y Recreación (INDES).
