Yangon United Sports Complex

The Yangon United Sports Complex was established in 2007 to serve the needs of the local game. The ground holds 3,500 spectators. The surface is artificial turf, laid down during a significant upgrade in 2010 that also brought a gymnasium to the site, marking it as one of the first clubs in the Myanmar National League to invest in such infrastructure.

Ownership ties the venue to the Htoo Group, though the complex has remained consistently known by the name of the club that plays there since its inception. While the facility hosted the opening match of the 2009 Myanmar National League Cup, it is primarily a training and domestic match base. The club has occasionally drawn larger crowds for charity fixtures, such as when Shan United defeated Yangon United in the 2020 MFF Charity Cup final, an event that reportedly drew attendance figures exceeding the official seating capacity, suggesting standing areas were utilised during that occasion.

The complex lacks the spectacle of the city’s larger arenas. International matches are typically played at the Thuwunna Stadium, but for the regular rhythm of the league, this ground provides a self-contained environment. The address remains specific, guiding visitors to the 12th Ward, where the infrastructure was built to support the transition of the team from its earlier incarnation as Air Bagan. There are no recorded concerts or non-football events, and the focus remains steadfastly on the pitch and the training facilities that surround it.
