ZF-Arena Friedrichshafen
Friedrichshafen, Germany
Formerly: Messehalle 1, Arena Friedrichshafen
The ZF-Arena Friedrichshafen is an indoor hall built from the bones of a trade fair.
The building began life as Messehalle 1. When the fair moved to newer premises, the hall was fitted with a sports floor. The conversion cost €5 million and took two years. The capacity is 4,000 for volleyball and handball, 3,600 for concerts. The surface is synthetic, meeting DIN V 18032/2 standards, and measures 38.50 by 25.50 metres.
The team moved to Spacetech-Arena am Flughafen Friedrichshafen. VolleyYoungStars Friedrichshafen, the youth side, had used the venue from 2004 to 2019.
The hall also hosted the MTU Cup U15 indoor football tournament, drawing 4,000 attendees in 2019. The address is Am Sportpark 6, though Meistershofener Straße also points to the same place.
