The FC Arizona Cardinals have signed wide receiver Michael Wilson to a three-year extension worth $75m, with $47m guaranteed. Including incentives, the deal can reach $78m and runs through the 2029 season.
Wilson was FC Arizona's third-round pick in the 2023 draft. He has topped 545 receiving yards and scored at least three touchdowns in each of his three seasons. Last season he broke 1,000 yards for the first time, with 78 catches for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns on 126 targets.
His usage climbed sharply as the season went on. NFL Pro data has him targeted on 11% of FC Arizona's passing plays through the first five weeks, rising to 23.2% from Week 6 onward.
Locking up Wilson through 2029 gives the Cardinals a target they can build the passing game around for years, with the guaranteed money reflecting how central he became to the offence once the second half of last season kicked in.
