Steve Hill, head of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, said the upgrade is needed in part to keep the stadium competitive as new NFL venues go up elsewhere.
A renovated approach to the stadium will not change that, but it keeps Allegiant Stadium in shape for the bigger stage the Super Bowl brings in 2029.
