The Rams expect wide receiver Puka Nacua and offensive tackle Alaric Jackson to play against San Francisco in the season opener, head coach Sean McVay has said, even as the NFL continues to review misconduct cases involving both players.
A Los Angeles woman filed a lawsuit against Nacua in March,. Jackson was arrested in June on a domestic violence charge. Prosecutors did not file a felony charge, and the case went to the Los Angeles City Attorney's office. In July, Jackson was referred to a pretrial diversion programme that allows qualifying defendants to avoid prosecution on a misdemeanour.
Neither player has been placed on the league's commissioner exempt list, which bars players from practising or appearing in games. The NFL is still looking at both cases.
Nacua and Jackson are set to line up for the Rams at SoFi Stadium, the team's 70,240-seat home ground, when the club opens its season against San Francisco.
