Bill Belichick Denies Jordon Hudson Has UNC Role

Bill Belichick has dismissed as "ridiculous" reports that his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, holds an unofficial role inside the University of North Carolina football programme he now leads. The 74-year-old head coach addressed the claims in a new interview with The Wall Street Journal.

The scrutiny followed reports that Belichick had asked UNC staff to copy Hudson, 25, on emails sent to him. Belichick said the request was limited to his outside commitments and had nothing to do with the university's football operation.

Asked directly what Hudson does help with, Belichick said: "There are some things that she helps me schedule or look at. It's not North Carolina stuff." A university spokesperson told the WSJ that Hudson has no football-related responsibilities, echoing a position UNC has taken before.

Belichick took charge of the Tar Heels, a programme dating to 1888 and based at the 50,500-capacity Kenan Stadium, in December 2024 after 24 seasons with the New England Patriots, where he won six Super Bowl titles. He and Hudson, a beauty pageant contestant and former cheerleader, went public with their relationship in June 2024.

The nearly 50-year age gap between the pair has drawn attention since Belichick's move into college football, and questions over Hudson's presence around the programme are likely to persist as long as he remains at UNC.
