Alexandru Șuteu

Alexandru Șuteu came through the academy at FCSB, joining the Bucharest club's system in 2018 and staying under contract there until July 2024. He spent three consecutive seasons out on loan in Liga II: at Unirea Constanța in 2021/22, where he scored once in 18 appearances, then at Gloria Buzău the following year, and finally at Unirea Dej in 2023/24, where he made 24 appearances. When his FCSB contract ran out, he left as a free agent and joined FC Voluntari in July 2024.

At Voluntari, the left-footed defender established himself as a regular starter. He featured 16 times in Liga II in his first season at the club, then made 27 Liga II appearances the following year as Voluntari secured promotion, adding two more games in Liga I once the club stepped up a division. He has continued in the side this season, with nine Liga I appearances so far. He has yet to score for Voluntari, though he has picked up ten yellow cards across his time there.

Șuteu has also been a regular at youth level for Romania, progressing through the U15 to U19 age groups before earning nine caps for the U20 side between 2023 and 2024, without finding the net at that level.
