Iulius Andrei Mărginean

Iulius Andrei Mărginean spent his formative years far from the top flight before Dinamo București took a chance on him. Born in Zlatna, he joined Sassuolo's academy in 2018 and stayed registered with the Italian club through 2025. Messina, in Serie C, gave him his senior debut in September 2021; Novara followed in the same division a year later; then Ternana handed him a step up to Serie B for the 2023–24 campaign.

None of those spells produced a title or individual honour, but they were enough to persuade Dinamo to take him on loan in July 2024, with an option to buy already built into the deal. The club exercised it in May 2025, making the move permanent for a reported €250,000, though other figures circulated at the time of the transfer.

Mărginean's international career has so far stayed at youth level. He worked his way through Romania's age groups, from seven caps at U17 through U18 and U20 up to two appearances for the U21s in 2022, without scoring at any level. A senior call-up has yet to follow. At Dinamo, he arrives as a player still building a first-team profile rather than one with an established track record — his path so far has been about accumulating games in Italy's lower divisions rather than collecting silverware.
