Daniel Barcia Rama

Daniel Barcia Rama joined Deportivo La Coruña's academy at the age of seven or eight, arriving from local side San Tirso SD, and spent years working through the club's youth ranks before stepping up to Deportivo Fabril in the summer of 2021. He made his debut for the reserve side on 12 September that year and scored his first senior goal against Silva SD that December. Across two seasons in the Tercera División RFEF, Barcia made 57 appearances for Fabril and scored four goals, form that earned him his first professional contract.

His breakthrough with the first team came in the Copa del Rey against CD Guijuelo in November 2022, and by May 2023 the club had made his promotion permanent. The following season, Barcia established himself in the Primera Federación as Deportivo won the league title and secured promotion to the Segunda División, a campaign in which he also contributed two league goals and one in the Copa del Rey. The club has since rewarded him with fresh terms twice, first extending his deal to 2026 and later, in February 2025, tying him down until 2028.

Barcia has also represented Spain at Under-19 level, winning six caps between 2021 and 2022. He started his first match for the age group in a 2–1 win over Luxembourg during qualifying for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship, having earlier featured in a friendly victory over Mexico. A defender who has never been sent out on loan, he has built his career entirely within the Deportivo structure, from San Tirso through Fabril to the club's first team.
