Efe Sarıkaya

Efe Sarıkaya broke through at Altay SK. Grenoble Foot 38 paid €200,000 plus €100,000 in add-ons for him in February 2024 and handed him a five-year contract. The move away from Altay was not without friction: the club said a €25,000 sell-on clause was lost because the contract wording referred to a "U23" threshold rather than "U21", and Grenoble delayed part of the payment over work-permit issues before the transfer was fully settled.

After two seasons in France, Sarıkaya returned to Turkish football in January 2026 on loan at Arca Çorum FK, known to supporters as Yeni Çorumspor, with the arrangement including an option to make the move permanent.

Sarıkaya has been a fixture of Turkey's youth setup rather than a fringe figure in it. He was capped five times for the under-18s in 2022, then became a regular for the under-19s, collecting 18 caps and four goals between 2022 and 2024, including a goal against Denmark in July 2024. A further four appearances for the under-20 side followed later that year. He has yet to be called into the senior national team.
