About the player
Knežević came through Partizan's academy, where he was crowned Serbian U17 champion in the 2020/21 season. He spent that campaign on loan with Teleoptik's U17 side before returning to play for Partizan's U18 team the following year.
That path ran through the Srpska Liga. At Teleoptik in 2022/23 he scored against Radnički, Jedinstvo, Borac and Ušće Novi Beograd. A move to Omladinac Novi Banovci followed for 2023/24, where he found the net against Dinamo 1945. He joined RFK Novi Sad 1921 in August 2024, and the 2024/25 season there was his most productive yet, with two goals apiece against Radnički Zrenjanin, Naftagas and Bečej 1918.
In July 2025 Knežević signed for Zemun on a free transfer. He made 24 league appearances in the Prva Liga Serbia with 3 goals and 2 assists, plus a Serbian Cup outing. Zemun's promotion took him into the SuperLiga for 2026/27, where he has made 8 appearances and added 2 assists without yet scoring. Across his time at the club he has 32 appearances, 3 goals and 4 assists in total.
