About the player
Ugo Bonnet built his entire career at Rodez AF before a career move took him elsewhere. Born in Montpellier, he came through the club's youth ranks after starting out at Castelnau Le Crès FC, then spent several years in the reserve side before making his first-team debut in 2014. He stayed at Rodez for several years.
The high point of that spell came in the 2018-19 season, when Bonnet was a key part of the Rodez side that won the Championnat National title and earned promotion to Ligue 2. He then had the distinction of scoring the club's first-ever goal at that level, netting against AJ Auxerre in July 2019. The following season he finished as Rodez's top scorer in Ligue 2 with 11 goals. By the time he left the club in January 2022, he had made 197 senior appearances and scored 40 goals.
What followed was a period of movement. A free transfer took him to Valenciennes FC, where he stayed before leaving by mutual consent in February 2024 to join En Avant Guingamp for the remainder of that season. He then took his career abroad, signing for Serbian side FK IMT Novi Beograd, where he made 24 league appearances and scored four goals in the 2024-25 campaign.
In February 2026, Bonnet returned to France to sign for Grenoble Foot 38.
