About the player
Wolke Janssens started out as a striker. It took time and a change of role to make it work: the club initially tried him as a forward or winger before settling him at centre-back.
A loan to Lierse in the 2017–2018 season yielded one goal in around twenty league appearances before he returned to Sint-Truiden and re-established himself in defence. Since then he has become a durable figure at the club, passing 145 league appearances there. He has never lifted a major trophy with Sint-Truiden, but the supporters' club Spionkop Geel-Blauw voted him the side's "Most Meritorious Player" for the 2019–2020 season.
Janssens came through the youth ranks at Peer SV, Bocholt and KRC Genk before starting his senior career at Dessel Sport.
