About the player
Zakaria Ztouti is Nancy through and through. He arrived at the club's youth system around the age of eight, having previously played for local sides Farébersviller, Merlebach and Saint-Avold and spent two years at the Pôle Espoirs de Nancy. Every step of his development since has taken place inside the same structure.
The breakthrough came through Nancy's reserve side. Ztouti finished as top scorer for Nancy B in National 2 during the 2024/2025 season, scoring eight goals in 17 matches. He signed his first professional contract on 13 August 2025, and two days later made his senior debut in Ligue 2 against Rodez, coming off the bench.
Ztouti scored his first professional goal against Le Mans. He has featured regularly for Nancy this season, contributing goals and assists as a substitute and, increasingly, a starter.
There was one moment early on when his path could have diverged from Nancy's. FC Metz made contact at under-13 level, but Ztouti chose to stay with the club that had raised him.
