Arnavutköy Belediyespor is the sports club of a municipality: its full name, Arnavutköy Belediyesi Gençlik ve Spor Kulübü, means the Arnavutköy Municipality Youth and Sports Club. It started in 2006 in the Istanbul district of the same name, in the amateur ranks, and had to climb the whole Turkish pyramid from there.

The Istanbul Super Amateur League, the city's top amateur division, went to the club in 2009 and again in 2010. The regional amateur league, the BAL, was harder. In 2013-14 they won Group 9 but lost the promotion play-off final, so the season brought no step up. Six years later, in 2019-20, they won Group 11, and this time promotion to the TFF 3. Lig came through, though the pandemic decided it: the season was cut short and the table was not played out.

The 2021-22 season gave them a result on the pitch. In the TFF 3. Lig play-off final they beat Artvin Hopaspor 1-0, and with it reached the TFF 2. Lig for the first time. Their rivalries are regional rather than a single derby: Silivrispor, from a neighbouring Istanbul district, and Çerkezköy 1911 Spor, from nearby Tekirdağ.

In 2016-17 the club won the Turkey Futsal Championship, beating Osmanlıspor FK 3-0 in the final. Goalkeeper Metin Oğhan, who went on to play in the Süper Lig for Kasımpaşa, is the best-known player to have passed through. For 2025-26 the head coach is Muhammet Emin Gül, who follows Tansu Yaan and İlker Püren.

Bolluca Stadyumu holds 1,160 spectators.
