Beykoz Belediyespor

The handball team only entered the picture in 2014, set up as a section of Beykoz Belediyesi GSK. In its very first season it went through the Regional League, won the Turkish Handball Second League and moved straight up into the First League.

The club reached the Super League, and in the 2021–22 season it lifted silverware, beating Spor Toto Sakarya 29–26 to take the HDI Sigorta Turkish Cup. The biggest test came in 2022–23, under head coach Mesut Ilgın, when Beykoz Belediyespor won the Super League itself, closing out a playoff final series against Sakarya Büyükşehir Belediyesi with a 28–26 win in the decisive third match on 9 June 2023.

The club plays out of the Rahmi Şahin Köktürk Spor Salonu in Beykoz, a hall that holds 1,750 and has stood since 1986. Fans and local media know the team as "Sarı-Siyahlı," a name drawn straight from the yellow and black of its shirts. Beşiktaş has become the fixture that matters most, a derby without a settled name but described in the Turkish press as a "principled" contest; Beşiktaş has had the upper hand in cup ties, including a 34–23 win over Beykoz in the 2025 Turkish Cup final.

Ten years after its first promotion, the club now measures itself against Istanbul's established handball sides and carries a Super League title into every derby with Beşiktaş.
