In March 2026, Bjarg went to Viking's ground in the NM Cupen's fourth round and came away 0–3 losers — reaching that stage at all was the story. Five years earlier the club had been going the other way, grinding through the 4. Divisjon, and closed 2019 top of the table, three points clear of Arna-Bjørnar, with Christoffer Hafsås as its scorer. That promotion held. In 2025 Bjarg won 3. Divisjon Avdeling 4 outright and go into the 2026 season in the 2. Divisjon, the highest tier the club has reached.

Bjarg still plays on its own artificial pitch at Stavollen, a ground the club owns itself in the Rådal area of Fana, with room for 1,500 in Norwegian football's lower reaches. There has never been a nickname beyond the club's own name.

The name most attached to the men's side belongs to no international. Enrique Crespo Søvik holds both the appearance and scoring records, 111 games and 74 goals. Bergen football has sent Bjarg players further afield too — Erik Huseklepp went on to Rosenborg, Molde and Brann.
