«Trojans»
For four seasons at the end of the 1990s, Rotterdam belonged to the Trojans. They took the Tulip Bowl in 1996 and again in 1997, then followed it with back-to-back AFLN National Championships in 1998 and 1999, and closed the run with Benelux Bowl wins in 1999 and 2000.
The club had already shown its ambition a decade earlier, when the side founded in 1984 as Rotterdam Trojans won the NAFF Division One Championship in 1988, its first taste of a national title.
Green and white have been the club's colours for most of its history, though for several years around the turn of the century, spanning that title run, the team took the field in red and yellow before reverting.
The Rotterdam Trojans name did not survive: financial mismanagement pushed the original club into bankruptcy in 2012, and what plays today carries on as 010 Trojans, training and playing out of Sportpark Olympia. The silverware from the 1990s still stands as the club's high-water mark.
