Bnei Yehuda

Bnei Yehuda spent the 2025–26 campaign in the Liga Leumit, working their way back after the drop from the top flight, and opened the season by lifting the Toto Cup Leumit. The club has been here before: relegated in 2013–14, it answered by winning the Liga Leumit outright the following year and returning at once to the Premier League.

The bigger prize has stayed further away. Bnei Yehuda's only league championship dates to 1989–90, and their four State Cup wins are spread thin across the decades — 1968, 1981, and then a 27-year wait before the next one arrived in 2017, followed by another in 2019.

For two decades the club played its home games away from home, at Bloomfield Stadium, sharing the ground with Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv because its own stadium in Hatikva could not meet licensing requirements. That changed for 2025–26, when a renovated Hatikva Neighborhood Stadium, holding under 3,000, took the team back to the streets it came from.

Eli Ohana wore the orange and black before he left for Europe and won the UEFA Cup with Mechelen; Yossi Benayoun started here too.

That answer sits in January 1936, when Nathan Sulami and a group of Yemenite Jews in Hatikva formed a team of their own.
