Bursa Nilüfer Belediyespor

Nilüfer Belediyespor go into the season carrying the weight of a Turkish Handball Super Cup title, won on penalties against Beşiktaş after the sides could not be separated at 33–33. That win, from 2025, sits alongside a runners-up finish in the Super League the same year — the closest the men's team has come to the domestic championship since bronze medals in 2013 and 2015. In Europe, the run has gone further than usual: the club reached the quarter-finals of the EHF European Cup in 2025–26, beating FH Hafnarfjörður and SKKP Handball Brno before MOL Tatabánya KC ended the run.

The team draws on a core that has stayed together across years rather than seasons. Çağlayan Öztürk first joined in 2008 and, after spells away, returned in 2024; Ramazan Mutlu followed a similar path, arriving in 2012 and coming back in 2022. Players brought in from Brazil, Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro have filled out the squad without displacing that long-serving spine.

Games are still played at the Üçevler Sports Facility, a hall that seats 380, and matches against Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor, the other club in the city, are billed locally as the Bursa Derby. Founded in 1999 in the Nilüfer district, the club is known to its supporters as Nilüferli, in green, blue and white.
