Conversano

The club came out of a decision by three men — Gino Laruccia, Pino Fanelli and Mario Daniele — to put a team on the floor in Conversano, and it entered its first championship in 1973-74 in the Promozione division.

Eight Serie A Gold titles now sit with the men's team, the most recent from 2025, alongside six Coppa Italia wins and seven Supercoppa Italiana successes. The women's side, playing as Indeco Conversano, took the league in 2016 and 2017 and collected four Coppa Italia titles between 2015 and 2018. In Europe the club has gone no further than the group stage of the Champions League, reached in 2003-04 and 2004-05, and a last-sixteen finish in the Challenge Cup the following season.

Much of the domestic run traces back to Lino Červar, the Croatian coach who took charge in the early 2000s. Alessandro Tarafino has spent long enough on the white-and-green side of that rivalry to have done both jobs there, first as a player and now as coach.
