DHG Women

Handball in Dalum and Hjallese was part of the local sports culture, and DHG's department is part of the wider Dalum-Hjallese Gymnastikforening, formed when Hjallese Gymnastikforening and the local youth and handball association Dalum Hjallese Ungdoms- og Håndboldforening Hjallese merged in 1969. The handball side went through its own restructuring later, re-emerging as DHG Håndbold in 1998.

The club sits a division below the city's flagship side, Odense Håndbold, and the two run a formal arrangement, the Odense Håndbold Akademi, under which Odense loans out young players to gain minutes at DHG.

Matches are played at the Sydbank Arena , known locally as Odense Idrætshal, in front of a capacity of 2,300. The closest thing DHG has to a needle match is with IF Stjernen Odense, another club from the same city; the fixture made headlines in March 2020 for reasons that had nothing to do with handball, when a Stjernen player tested positive for coronavirus after a skiing trip and DHG's squad went into voluntary quarantine.

The 2024/2025 season, under head coach Bo Andersen, ended with DHG finishing in the bottom places of the 1. Division table.
