Druzstevnik Latky

In the 2023/2024 season the club, competing in the VI. liga under the Central Slovak Football Association, won the Prezidentský pohár, beating OŠK Pribiš 3:2 in the final in Poprad on 8 May 2024. The cup carried them into the Slovnaft Cup, where they opened by defeating TJ Sklotatran Poltár 2:1 before losing to FTC Fiľakovo; a season later, in the same competition, they held both Novohrad Lučenec and FTC Fiľakovo to draws.

The name itself points backward, to the cooperative movement that gave many Slovak village clubs their identity after the war — "Družstevník" means cooperative, and the club has carried the word since some point in that era. What it plays on has stayed modest: a ground with room for 1,400 in total but only 500 seats for spectators, natural grass, no floodlights, no separate club website. Local coverage runs through the municipal site rather than anything the club maintains itself.

Two coaches, František Novodomec and Mário Tazberík, ran the cup-winning campaign together. On the pitch, though, Látky is known above all for Mário Kurák, a midfielder born in 1983 who arrived in 2023 after spells at MFK Skalica and FK Poprad. He finished that title-winning season as the leading scorer of the entire VI. liga C group, with 29 goals.
