Berlin Rebels settle it every year with Berlin Adler.
The club did not start out yellow and black. It formed on 12 February 1979 as Berliner Bären, and only in 1981, after joining forces with BSC Wilmersdorf, did it take the name Berlin Adler and the colours it still wears. Six German Bowl titles, the first three coming in successive years from 1987, then 1990 and 1991, with a run through that period so long it went unbeaten for 966 days before losing again in 1991.
Domestic success carried abroad. Berlin Adler won the EFAF Cup in 2008 and followed it with two Eurobowl titles, in 2010 and 2014.
Home games are played in front of 10,000 at the Poststadion. None of it changes what the fixture against the Rebels means: a derby fought inside one city, where the German Bowl history sits on one side of the ledger and the neighbours sit on the other.
