Eintracht Frankfurt II

The Frankfurt derby has never belonged to Eintracht Frankfurt II the way it belongs to the first team; here it is played out against FSV Frankfurt.

That instability is the club's real story. The amateur section goes back to 1899, the same year as the parent club, but the modern reserve team has been remade more than once. It ran as Eintracht Frankfurt Amateure, then as an Under-23 side from 2005, before the team was dissolved. Since then the side has bounced between tiers: promoted to the Regionalliga Südwest in 2023, relegated the following season, then straight back up from the Hessenliga in 2025-26.

Stefan Müller has managed the team since taking over from Dennis Schmitt in the summer of 2024. There is no separate crest for any of it — the team plays under the Frankfurter Adler, the same eagle badge as the first team, in black and red.

The bulk of the honours belong to an older era, an Oberliga Hessen title in 1970 followed by championships in 2002 and 2012, and a Hesse Cup won in 1969. Whatever the level, the fixture against FSV Frankfurt remains the one that still carries the city's name.
