Gambarogno - Contone

A tie against KF Dardania St. Gallen the same campaign went the other way in scoreline terms but not in result, lost 1–2.

The formation itself was a joining of two much older names. In July 2014, US Gambarogno, founded in 1952, merged with FC Contone, whose own history stretched back to 1919, bringing more than a century and a half of combined local football under one badge. The new club took black and red as its colours and settled at the Centro Sportivo Regionale Magadino, a ground in the hamlet of Magadino within the Gambarogno municipality.

Under the FCG name, the club has stayed in the lower reaches of Ticino football, currently playing in the 2. Liga Interregional, the fifth tier of the Swiss pyramid. Its one piece of silverware belongs to the era before the merger: FC Contone won the Terza Lega FTC title in the 2010–11 season. What the club has kept from that period is its local standing rather than its trophies, contesting the derby del Magadino against FC Ascona and treating AC Bellinzona as the larger regional rival.
