Hereford

Edgar Street holds 5,250. When Hereford United was wound up three days earlier, local businessman Jon Hale and the Hereford United Supporters Trust founded a replacement on 22 December 2014, and it was this new club that inherited the old name and the old pitch.

Supporters chose the identity themselves. In March 2015 more than 900 of them voted on a crest designed by Huw Marriott with his sons Max and Louis, and 89% backed it. The shield carries a Hereford bull, which is why the club is known as The Bulls even though the shirts are white and black, and a black banner beneath reads "Forever United".

On the pitch, the rebuilt Hereford climbed fast. Three successive promotions took them from the Midland League Premier Division in 2015–16 through the Southern League Division One South & West a year later to the Southern League Premier Division in 2017–18. By 2024–25, in the National League North, an 11th-place finish on 69 points marked their best return yet at that level.

The fixture that still carries the old rivalries is against Shrewsbury Town, played along the road that gives it its name: the A49 derby. The Daily Telegraph ranked it the 19th fiercest derby in English football in 2015, a rivalry that predates the current club and has simply carried over to it.

None of that changes what Edgar Street is for the city.
