About the player
Freddy Willcox came through Cheltenham Town's academy, joining aged 11 in 2017, and made his first-team debut for the club on 7 May 2023. He signed his first professional contract in June 2024 and extended his deal in June 2026. He wears squad number 33.
Willcox's development has largely come through loan spells away from Cheltenham. He spent the 2023–2024 season at Evesham United, making 28 league appearances and scoring twice. In January 2025 he moved to Oxford City until the end of the season, adding 12 league appearances there. His most demanding loan came at Hereford, where he joined in February 2026 and started all 21 of the club's remaining league matches inside 68 days, helping them avoid relegation.
Back at Cheltenham, Willcox has made 18 league appearances without scoring.
