Antoni Wańkowicz put together the handball section at JKS Jarosław in 1969, six decades after the parent club had been founded as Pogoń Jarosław. Promotion to the top division came in 1991 under Anatolij Glebow, and after a spell back in the second tier the club returned to the top flight in 1995. A place in the EHF Cup Winners' Cup followed the same season.
Past 2000 the handball side split from JKS proper, playing on under names such as Jarosłavia and Siódemka Jarosław. Promotion to the Superliga Kobiet arrived for 2019/20, and by 2021/22 the team had climbed to fourth place, high enough to enter the EHF European Cup.
Games are played at the Hala MOSiR in Jarosław, on ulica gen. Władysława Sikorskiego. A renovation finished in January 2026 brought capacity to around 1,500, in a club playing in black and blue.
