Královův Dvůr sits in the Beroun district of Central Bohemia. The first, Litavan Karlova Huť, was formed in 1914; that year is what the club and Czech-language sources still count as its founding, even where some English-language references give 1949 instead. The later date belongs to the socialist-era reorganisation of Czech sport, when Litavan merged with two local rivals, Olympie and SK Počaply, to form Sokol Železárny — renamed again afterwards as Baník Králův Dvůr.
The club now plays in the Bohemian Football League, the Czech third tier. Its one outright title sits well below that level, in the regional Středočeský krajský přebor of 2003/04.
Home matches are played at the 2,500-seat Městský stadion, on natural grass with no running track.
