Mikael Appelgren spent his whole career at one club, joining Kroppskultur as a boy and staying on as its goalkeeper until 2009 — long after the men's team had dropped out of the top flight.

The men's side managed fourteen seasons in Sweden's top division, the last of them in 2004/05, and Bertil Söderberg topped the Allsvenskan scoring charts in 1981/82. The women's team had its own run in the top flight, four seasons that ended in 2011/12. Neither side ever got near an SM-guld or a Swedish Cup; the closest Kroppskultur has come to a national title is a boys' team lifting the Junior-SM-guld in 1979.

Home games, for both the men and the women, are played at Agnebergshallen in green and white. Across town, Uddevalla HK carried the local rivalry for decades, folding in 2009 and coming back in 2017, though nobody ever gave the derby between the two a name of its own.
