The Scholars head into this campaign chasing another push through United Counties League Premier Division North, still building on a play-off final that ended in an all-purple kit rather than the club's usual blue and white. That run, settled in 2023-24, sits alongside a first-qualifying-round appearance in the FA Cup as recently as 2024-25.
Loughborough College, as the club was known when it started out in 1920, dropped out of senior competition in 1972.
The university connection cuts both ways. On campus, the side won the BUCS National Championship in 2021-22. Off it, Loughborough has sent players into the professional game: Bob Wilson between the posts for Arsenal, Lawrie Sanchez remembered at Wimbledon, Tony Waiters capped for England.
