Parnu JK Vaprus U21

The reserve side of Pärnu JK Vaprus goes into the 2026 season in Esiliiga B, the third tier, where it has settled since climbing out of the II Liiga South/West as champions in 2023.

That corridor produced Marten-Chris Paalberg, who finished 2025 as the leading scorer in the Meistriliiga and left for Saint-Étienne the following year in a deal worth more than €1 million.

The club the U21 side feeds is older than most of what surrounds it. Vaprus began in 1922 as a sports society, took the Pärnu championship in 1927 and again in 1934, then disappeared into a merger with Pärnu Kalev in 1937 and stayed gone through the Soviet decades. It came back in 1999, was rebuilt again in 2003 through a merger of local clubs, and then vanished a second time in 2014 when the senior team folded into Pärnu Linnameeskond. When that project collapsed in 2017, Vaprus took over its place in the top flight. Twice erased, twice reassembled from the same town.

Home is Pärnu Rannastaadion, the beach stadium, with 1,501 seats.
