Rwanda's police force put a team on the pitch in 2000.
Promotion came in 2003, when the club took the Second Division title and moved up to the top flight. The 2024 run did not stop there: Police went on to edge APR FC on penalties after a goalless draw to take the Super Cup as well. A league title has stayed out of reach — the closest came with back-to-back runner-up finishes in 2011–12 and 2012–13.
Home games are played in Nyamirambo, on a ground the club shares with the city's other big names, and the strip has stayed simple throughout: white shirts crossed with navy blue stripes.
Muhadjiri Hakizimana is the name supporters bring up first. Named Rwanda Premier League Player of the Year in 2018 before going on to represent the national team, he remains the clearest example of what the club has produced rather than borrowed.
