Putra Sinar Giri

David Faristian led the side out as captain in 2019, the year the club went from village pitches to a national tournament in the space of a few seasons. Putra Sinar Giri had started out in Jember Regency, and the entity behind it dated back to 2014, but the version that carried the name existed because the licence was bought and moved to Gresik in 2018. Before that it had made its name on the district circuit, taking the Pusaka Cup in Menganti in both 2016 and 2017 — the kind of tarkam, inter-village football that rarely produces a club anyone outside the region hears of.

2019 changed that. Under head coach Khoirul Anam, Putra Sinar Giri won the Liga 3 East Java title, beating Perseta Tulungagung on penalties after the final finished goalless. Hasbiyanto, the club's top scorer that campaign with eight goals, was named the tournament's best player. The run stopped at the national stage, where the club went out in the round of eight, but the East Java title was enough to mark them as the province's tarkam team ready to be taken seriously.

They played in blue, white and yellow, under the nickname the Last Girton, out of Stadion Gelora Joko Samudro in Kebomas — a ground that would later be rebuilt and reopened in 2025. By then Putra Sinar Giri itself had moved on more than once: a shift to Pati brought a local rivalry with Persipa Pati, ownership changed hands, and the club eventually re-emerged in Bekasi. None of that later history erases what happened in 2019, when a side built on district cup football spent one season as champions of East Java, with Faristian wearing the armband and Hasbiyanto scoring the goals that got them there.
