Radomsko

Promotion to the top flight came only once, and it came from second place turning into first: in the 2000/01 season Radomsko won the II liga and went up to the Ekstraklasa for the only time in the club's history. The stay lasted a single season — 2001/02 ended in fourteenth place and a relegation playoff the club lost. Two Polish Cup semi-finals, in 1999/2000 and again in 2002/03, sit either side of that top-flight year, along with a run to the last four of the League Cup in 2001/02.

The current club dates from 25 August 1979, when RKS Czarni Radomsko and Stal Radomsko merged into one organisation, though Czarni's own history reaches back to 1910. The honours since the Ekstraklasa season have been smaller in scale: the Third Division title in 1994/95, two Regional League championships, and the Łódź Voivodeship Cup in 2021, won on penalties against Widzew Łódź's reserve side. Radomsko now play in the fourth tier, the IV liga Łódź.

Local rivalry is measured against GKS Bełchatów and against Polonia Piotrków Trybunalski, both derbies rooted in the surrounding region rather than the capital.

The name still tied to that top-flight campaign belongs to a goalkeeper rather than an outfield player: Adam Matysek kept goal for Radomsko through the 2001/02 season and was part of Poland's squad at the 2002 World Cup the same year. The bigger name to come through the club is Jacek Krzynówek, who played for Radomsko between 1994 and 1996 before his career took him to Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg and to 96 caps for Poland, including the 2002 and 2006 World Cups.
