«Rams»
The Rams won the 1945 NFL Championship as a Cleveland team. The franchise had begun in 1936 in the American Football League, and the NFL granted it membership on February 12, 1937. In Los Angeles it won a second league title in 1951.
The club relocated to St. Louis in 1995, and four seasons later it had an offence known as the Greatest Show on Turf. Kurt Warner threw to a team built around Marshall Faulk, and the 1999 season ended with victory in Super Bowl XXXIV. Merlin Olsen and Deacon Jones from that line are both in the Hall of Fame.
The move back to Los Angeles came in 2016, and the club now plays at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, which holds 70,240 for NFL games. Sean McVay has been head coach since 2017, and Stan Kroenke has owned the majority of the club since 2010. Under McVay the Rams reached the NFC title game in 2018 and won the conference again in 2021.
The Rams also meet the Los Angeles Chargers, in the local series known as the Freeway Series. Since 2021 the club has been trying to win a fifth championship, with McVay still on the sideline.
