Shturmi

Sartichala had already lost a club once. FC Sarti folded in 2018, and when a group of locals in the Gardabani municipality put together a replacement two years later, they built it around the name Shturmi — a word that reads as either "storm" or "assault," and either way stuck as the team's nickname.

What followed was a steady climb rather than a single breakthrough. The 2020 debut season ended with second place in the regional east group, behind Tbilisi's Dinamo-2, and promotion followed anyway. Two more runner-up finishes came in 2022 and 2023, the second of those lost to Aragvi on goal difference alone. Shturmi kept getting promoted on the back of finishing second — until 2025, when they finally topped Liga 3 outright and won a place in Erovnuli Liga 2, Georgia's second tier.

The ground caught up with the team's rise only recently. Sartichala's new stadium, built jointly by the Georgian Football Federation and the Gardabani municipality between 2022 and 2023, opened in the centre of the village in 2024. It holds 530 people.

In last season's Georgian Cup, Shturmi reached the last 16 before going out on penalties. A first campaign in the second tier still lies ahead, and with it the question of whether a ground built for fourth-division football can hold.
