Siauliai

Mindaugas Žukauskas put up 45 points in a single LKL game for BC Šiauliai in 1996. That season the club also lifted the LKF Cup, beating Statyba Vilnius 96–88 — the only Lithuanian Cup it has ever taken home.

The team started out in 1984 under a different name, BC Kelininkas, tied to the road workers who gave it that identity, before becoming BC Šiauliai in 1994. Since then it has carried sponsor tags onto its shirt from time to time, but the city name has stayed put through all of them.

Domestically, BC Šiauliai has made a habit of finishing third. Between 2000 and 2010 it took bronze in the LKL nine times.

Robertas Javtokas started his career at the club before going on to win gold with the Lithuanian national team, and Giedrius Pečiulionis still holds the LKL record for three-pointers in a game, with eleven. Games against Neptūnas Klaipėda and Lietkabelis Panevėžys are regular fixtures, though nobody has bothered to give it a name.

The club plays in yellow and black — hence "the Yellow and Blacks" — and is majority-owned by Artūras Nacickas, who holds 75 per cent, with the Šiauliai city council keeping the remaining 25.
