Sporting Trestina

Sporting Trestina go into the season in Eccellenza with Stefano Calori in the dugout for 2024–25.

The club plays out of Trestina, a hamlet of Città di Castello, and the ground, Stadio Lorenzo Casini, holds 800. The black and white kit that gives the Bianconeri their name was not the original choice — the club started out in white and sky blue.

The defining moment came in 2010–11. Sporting Trestina finished second in Eccellenza Umbria that season, behind on points but not out of the running, and went into the National Play-Offs against Cannara. The tie went to penalties after a 4-4 draw, and Trestina won it 4-3 to secure a first-ever promotion to Serie D.

Cannara remain fixtures on the calendar, the derby della verità carrying its own weight alongside the fixture against Tiferno. In the Coppa Italia Serie D, the club's best run came in 2019–20, when they reached the round of 32 before Tolentino put them out on penalties.

Sporting Trestina began on 28 August 1950 as Unione Sportiva Sporting Club, a name it carried until the move to Trestina in the mid-1960s gave the club its present identity.
