Liga Alef South is new territory for Tzeirey Tira, and the opening weeks of the 2024/25 season showed it: five matches in, the club held a single point, deep in the bottom half of a division it had reached only months earlier. Promotion came in April 2024, when a 2-0 win over Amishav Petah Tikva sealed the Liga Bet South A title.
The town explains part of the name. Tira is an Arab town in central Israel, and "Tzeirey" — youths — points to origins closer to a junior structure than to a senior institution built for silverware. Tzeirey Tira has none to its name; its business has been staying up, or getting back up, in the lower leagues.
