UD da Serra

No fixture on the calendar marks out a true enemy for UD da Serra; in the Leiria district the club has simply outgrown most of its neighbours, and matches against Lajense, SC Pombal and Portomosense read more like measuring sticks than grudges. That gap shows in the numbers from 2024/25: twenty-two wins from twenty-five games, seventy-six goals scored, fifteen conceded, and a fifth Divisão de Honra title that sent the Serraenses back up to the Campeonato de Portugal.

Getting back there mattered more than the trophy itself. The club had run a senior team continuously for over thirty years before shutting it down in 2011, and only this season, 2025/26, has that team returned to competitive football. Everything won in between — three district cups, three district super cups among them — came from the amateur ranks while the first team stayed dormant.

President Amândio Santos has overseen the district's most consistent side of the last decade, and Pedro Emanuel took charge of the group that finished last season unbeaten in all but three matches. Orange has stayed the club's colour throughout, worn now by a squad assembled to test itself a level up from where it built its recent record.

Away from the first team, the club's handball section has done its own quiet work: the under-18 women's side has reached the national final in back-to-back years, a rare exposure for a club whose senior football team spent so long out of competition altogether.

What UD da Serra returns to in 2025/26 is the tier its senior side last knew before 2011 — the point from which the shutdown took it away, and the point its recent district dominance was built to reach again.
