Wohlen

For most of its life Wohlen has stayed in the lower tiers of the Swiss league pyramid, and the record it holds locally has nothing to do with silverware: a fourth-place finish on first reaching the 1. Liga in 1989, back when the club still played as TV Wohlen, a mark that took twenty years to beat. The men's side returned to that level in 2015, then again in April 2026, this time under the joint venture with Mutschellen. In the Swiss Cup, the furthest Wohlen has gone is the round of sixteen, in 2018/19, drawing Kadetten Schaffhausen — one of several ties against National League A opposition that have punctuated otherwise modest seasons, alongside meetings with SG TV Solothurn and RTV 1879 Basel.

Where the club has built something lasting is in its junior sides. Goalkeeper Seraina Kuratli and Nora Snedkerud both passed through Wohlen's youth teams before moving on to LK Zug and Swiss national youth squads, and coach Thomas Huber's work with the junior women is remembered for producing players such as Daphne Gautschi. The women's team has since gone the other way, dropping out of a joint venture in the SPL 2 to rebuild from the 3. Liga.

None of that carries the weight of the fixture against TV Muri.
