Wolverhampton Wanderers started out as St. Luke's F.C.
Three First Division titles arrived within six years of one another, in 1954, 1958 and 1959. The FA Cup has been won four times, but across a far longer stretch — 1893, 1908, 1949 and 1960.
Two League Cups followed, in 1974 and 1980. Wolves have gone back up from the Second Division on four separate occasions, in 1932, 1977, 2009 and 2018, and once from lower still, out of the old Fourth Division in 1988.
The old gold shirt gave the club its other name, Old Gold.
