«Yellow Jackets»
They played at the Class of 1923 Arena, also called the Penn Ice Rink, on the University of Pennsylvania campus, and the university voided their contract over non-payment. The club folded in 2016 with half of its first season played.
Those games were few. In the Northern Division of American Indoor Football (AIF) the team won four and lost three. It played in sky blue, gold and white.
Joe Krause owned the club. The AIF announced it on June 11, 2015, as a new entry for the 2016 season. Krause named it after the Frankford Yellow Jackets, who played in the NFL from 1924 to 1931 and won the 1926 championship with a 14-1-2 record. The 2016 team had no connection to that franchise beyond the name, which comes from the insect.
