Alvernia University Stadium

The ground sits on the edge of campus on Laverna Drive. The capacity is small.

Reading United AC moved in when the facility was completed, joining the university’s own Golden Wolves side on the same turf. The stadium has not changed its name, nor has it been rebuilt since the initial construction by Burkey Construction. It remains exactly as it was laid out: a functional box for football.

The only reason the stands fill beyond the usual university students is when the national cup comes to town. The following year, Philadelphia Lone Star FC came to town, and the attendance climbed to 230, a significant number for a venue of this size.

The stadium does not seek attention. It simply waits for the whistle.
