Not every soccer venue in the Triad needs its own history — Macpherson Stadium's is tied up with the wider Truist Soccer Complex at Bryan Park. North Carolina Fusion U23 now uses it for its USL League Two campaigns, and starting in 2025 Burlington United FC shares the calendar.

The natural grass surface and a seated capacity of 3,000 keep the place squarely in the category of a college-and-summer-league ground rather than anything built for a larger occupant — the numbers were never meant to stretch further. Nothing in the record suggests the stadium has changed name since it opened, which is itself a small sign of how little churn there has been around it: same name, same corner of Browns Summit, a steady rotation of amateur and semi-professional sides passing through rather than a single marquee resident settling in for good.
